Two days is enough.
Not to see everything. To slow down.

That’s the point of Staithes.

Day one: arrive and switch off

Park at the top of the bank.
Walk down. Take your time, it’s steep.

Drop the bags. Stick the kettle on.
Then go and find the harbour.

Wander the old streets. Look up.
Every cottage has a story. Ours does too, we stripped it back to brick ourselves.

Evening? Light the log burner.
Wander down for a drink.
Or don’t. You’re on holiday.

Day two: the coast

Get the boots on.
The Cleveland Way runs right through the village.

Head along the cliffs. The views do the talking.
Bring the dogs, they’ll love it as much as you.

Back for a late lunch.
Afternoon: the beach, a book, or a nap. All valid.

Day three: one last wander

Coffee first.
One more walk along the harbour before you go.

You’ll be planning the next visit before you reach the car.
