Bring the dogs

Heart Stone Cottage is a proper dog-friendly cottage in Staithes.

Up to three small dogs, or one large one.

Downstairs only, please.

The coastal walking starts at the door — harbour, beach and the Cleveland Way are all a walk away.

One honest word about the bank

The old village sits down a steep bank. Parking is at the top of it.

So there's a walk down, and a walk back up. There are steps, inside and out.

The little outdoor area isn't enclosed, so dogs need a lead out there.

None of it is a problem. We'd just rather you knew before you packed.

Walking the Cleveland Way?

The Cleveland Way runs straight through Staithes.

That makes us handy Cleveland Way accommodation — step out of the door and onto the trail.

Then boots off. Fire on. Dogs fed.

Same again tomorrow, if you like.
